     Retail Amenities

The four office towers are interconnected by a 50,000 square foot retail mall. This retail area provides tenants with medical and dental services, financial services and a wide variety of restaurants and stores.




Boardroom Facilities

Common boardroom facilities are available for use by tenants of the centre at no charge and are located in Two Bentall Centre, 555 Burrard Street.

    

Fitness Facilities

The Bentall Centre Athletic Club is a full service, 20,000 square foot fitness centre. Amenities include squash courts, racquetball courts, a large aerobics room, and a full weight room including nautilus equipment. Cardiovascular fitness training and personalized training services are also available. Complete boxing circuit and training are offered at Ringside Fitness (located within the Athletic Club), operated by Olympic medalist, Dale Walters.

    

Transit Convenience

Accessibility to public transit is a major benefit to our tenants. The Burrard Street SkyTrain Station is directly integrated with the Bentall Centre via an underground connector. As a major hub of Downtown Vancouver's bus transportation system, approximately 1,200 buses per day stop in front of the Bentall Centre.

    

Parking

The Bentall Centre is serviced by two parkades encompassing over 1,000 stalls, all of which are directly accessible from the Centre's retail mall. The parking ratio for office tenants is one stall per 1,400 square feet of leased area.

    

HVAC System

The majority of the office space is serviced by a hybrid constant volume system with the balance using a variable air volume system. These systems incorporate a free cooling capability which introduces up to 95% fresh air during each air change. The systems are designed to deliver seven air changes per hour.

    

Fire, Life Safety & Security Systems

The Bentall Centre recently completed a major upgrading of its fire and life safety systems. The Centre now has a computerized fire alarm, fire detection, and security system. Monitoring of these systems is undertaken at the Bentall IV command centre. The security system consists of closed circuit colour television monitoring, intrusion location alarms, and proximity access card readers. All systems are supported with year round, 24 hour patrols.

    

Caring for the Environment

The Bentall Centre was the first major office complex in downtown Vancouver to implement a recycling program. This program now includes all forms of paper, glass, and metal products. The Centre has also introduced environmentally friendly refrigerants in its cooling systems. These programs reflect Bentall Centre's ongoing commitment to providing the best possible environment for tenants and the community.
